Enterprise data

Lucidata is an enterprise BI platform that brings a company’s data together into a single system of metrics and calculation rules. Executives and analysts work with consistent metrics, find the causes of changes faster and get ready-made insights without manually reconciling reports.

The built-in AI analyst Lucy answers questions about company data, explains the reasons behind deviations and helps move from a metric to a decision.

The platform is deployed on-premises, supports 15 database management systems and lets you connect an LLM of your choice or a local model. Data and keys stay inside the corporate perimeter, with access governed by unified policies and full control over data.

[ The challenge ]

Challenges Lucidata solves

Metrics are calculated differently in every report

Revenue, margin, conversion and other metrics get recalculated with different logic in each new report. Departments end up with different numbers, and time goes into manual reconciliation instead of decisions. Lucidata sets unified calculation rules and applies them across all dashboards, reports, API and AI.

Root causes are found manually

A change in a metric has to be broken down step by step by segment, period and factor. Lucidata includes tools for anomaly, driver and decomposition analysis.

Data is spread across different sources

Corporate data sits in different databases, warehouses and files, which complicates joint analysis. The Lucidata analytics platform brings sources into a single analytical environment and runs calculations directly within the company’s infrastructure.

Every new question requires a separate analysis

An extra data slice or a new hypothesis often calls for an SQL query, a dashboard rework or an analyst’s involvement. A BI analytics system lets you explore data without building a new report for every question.

[ How the technology works ]

Unified data and metrics model

Lucidata sets unified calculation rules for the whole company. Revenue, margin, conversion and other metrics are no longer recalculated with different logic in every new report. Executives and analysts work with consistent figures, compare results across departments faster and spend no time on manual reconciliation.

AI analyst

The built-in AI analyst lets you ask questions about corporate data in natural language and get answers that take the company’s business logic into account. The interface shows which metrics were used, how the query was built and which SQL the result is based on.

Interactive dashboards

Build analytical dashboards for management and operational tasks, move from the big picture to the details and explore individual data slices. The platform offers 30+ visualization types, data export and automated report distribution.

Visualization builder

Charts, calculated measures and new data slices are created right in the interface, with no need to develop a separate report. For complex calculations you can use ready-made functions, SQL and Python, and AI helps build calculations from a text description.

Root-cause analysis and forecasting

The built-in lab lets you run advanced analysis without a separate data science toolkit: investigate the causes of metric changes, detect anomalies, assess the influence of factors and build forecasts directly on corporate data.

Automated alerts

Lucidata tracks metric changes against defined conditions and can automatically launch factor analysis when an event fires. It supports thresholds, anomalies and trend changes, and can pass results via webhook.

Automated reporting

The platform generates regular reports and presentations straight from current data. Lucidata gathers the required metrics, adds analytical commentary and produces ready-made PPTX or PDF files on schedule.

Enterprise data connectivity

Lucidata plugs into your existing infrastructure and works directly with corporate sources, with no mandatory data migration to a separate warehouse.

Extension ecosystem

Extend Lucidata with your own visualizations, connectors, semantic packages and UI extensions. A private package registry is available for on-premises deployments, and developers get an SDK and CLI.

Analysts and BI teams

Create metrics, models, visualizations and reports in a single managed workspace. Less time goes on agreeing formulas and maintaining scattered reports.

Executives and business users

Get a ready management picture of key indicators, spot deviations at once and understand their causes without manual data assembly. The executive dashboard works as a tool for analysis and decisions, not just a report.

IT and data teams

Manage connections, access, audit and integrations centrally. The on-premises architecture lets you embed the platform into the existing technology and information landscape.

Finance and controlling

Run plan-versus-actual analysis, monitor financial indicators and produce regular management reporting. Lucidata supports consistent metrics and fast breakdown of deviations by period, business line and department.

PostgreSQL 16

Redis 7

S3-compatible storage

A domain name and open ports 80 / 443

Access to ghcr.io and the release-<version>.env file

SMTP, an SSO identity provider and an LLM key

python3, curl, jq, cosign

Before you start

docker login ghcr.io

Verify the cosign keyless signature

export LUCIDATA_COSIGN_IDENTITY='^https://github.com/<OWNER>/<REPO>/.github/workflows/release\.yml@refs/tags/v.*'
export LUCIDATA_REQUIRE_SIGNATURE=1

Prepare the directory and configuration files

Clone the repository, go to the deployment directory and create local configuration files from the templates

git clone <адрес репозитория> /opt/lucidata
cd /opt/lucidata/deploy
cp .env.example .env
cp web.env.example web.env
cp basicauth.conf.example basicauth.conf

Fill in environment variables and secrets
